Drive-Thru Warehouse Associate

Rice Lumber is looking for a motivated, positive team member who enjoys hands-on work, helping customers, and taking initiative. This role is essential to keeping our drive-thru warehouse running smoothly while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications :

We are seeking an individual who has the following qualifications: 

  • Physically able to lift at least 100 lbs and work on your feet, indoors and outdoors, year-round
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic
  • Willing to learn and operate equipment, including heavy machinery and a chop saw (training and certification provided)
  • Building material or construction knowledge (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities: 

As a member of our team, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist customers with lumber and building materials
  • Deliver top notch customer service 
  • Build and stage loads for pick-up 
  • Keep the lumber yard clean, organized, and well stocked
  • Ensure all outgoing materials are properly checked and invoiced

Delivery Driver (Flatbed / Small Truck / Box Truck)

This position involves driving a variety of delivery vehicles, including flatbed, small truck, and box truck, to ensure our customers receive materials accurately, on time, and with excellent service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, local driving, working outdoors, and being part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications :

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Delivery, flatbed, or box truck driving experience preferred
  • Understanding of building materials and job-site processes preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Responsibilities:

As a Delivery Driver at Rice Lumber Company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including: 16 ft Hino Box Truck, 16 ft Flatbed Truck, 12 ft F-550 Flatbed Truck, Small delivery trucks for local routes
  • Safely operate a flatbed delivery truck and secure loads properly
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload lumber and building materials with care
  • Prepare, verify, and complete delivery and pickup orders
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean, organized trucks
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and job-site personnel
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and operations leadership to ensure accurate, timely deliveries

Qualifications :

  • CDL Class B license required, with a clean driving record
  • Moffett truck driving experience and/or delivery experience preferred
