The Diablo FB-006 Forstner bit is a high-speed steel drill bit designed to create flat-bottom, pocket, and overlapping holes in wood with exceptional precision. This specialized bit solves common woodworking problems like splintering, chipping, and inaccurate hole placement by combining a razor-sharp serrated cutting edge with a precise center spur that anchors the bit exactly where you place it.
Whether you're crafting furniture, building cabinetry, or installing hardware, this Forstner bit delivers the flat-bottomed holes and clean cuts that preserve material integrity and ensure a professional finish in all kinds of wood.
Features and Benefits
- Center Point Design: The sharp center spur keeps the bit positioned precisely, preventing the "walking" that causes misaligned holes.
- Serrated Slicing Edge: Razor-sharp teeth cut cleanly through wood fibers rather than tearing them, minimizing splintering and chipping.
- Greater Shearing Action: The bit's advanced geometry delivers longer tool life and more efficient cutting.
- Durable HSS Construction: High-speed steel material provides durability and resists wear through repeated use.
- Consistent Results Across Drills: Delivers reliable, repeatable performance regardless of the power tool used, from cordless drills to drill presses.
