The Impression Rail Express Advantage
Part of TimberTech's elite Impression Rail Express (IRX) metal platform, this 8-foot aluminum top rail is engineered to survive harsh winter freeze cycles and hot summer sun exposure. The advanced textured black powder coat finish provides industry-leading resistance against scratching, paint peeling, blistering, fading, and corrosion. Frequently Asked Questions

• What is the difference between the IRX Classic and IRX Modern top rails? The Modern top rail features a minimalist, flat rectangular design optimized for sleek, contemporary home styles. The Classic top rail features a sculpted, rounded shape that mimics traditional woodwork, offering an elegant profile and a comfortable grip.
• Is this a complete metal railing kit or an individual part? This item code includes the single 8-foot aluminum classic top rail component only. To finish a full structural section, you will need to combine this top cap with matching IRX post kits, lower rails, internal bracket packs, and your preferred infill panel inserts.
• Can this aluminum top rail be trimmed down on the jobsite? Yes, absolutely. You can easily cut the top rail down to match your exact post-to-post framework dimensions. For clean results, use a standard miter saw or circular saw equipped with a high-tooth blade certified for cutting non-ferrous aluminum profiles.
• How do you maintain powder-coated aluminum deck railings? The premium powder-coated finish requires virtually zero upkeep. To clean away seasonal pollen or dirt accumulation, simply rinse the rail frame down with a garden hose or wipe it down using a soft rag, fresh water, and a mild, non-abrasive liquid dish soap.
